Congrats on the launch, Stripe works well, but the stack gets expensive. What does tiun replace beyond just payments?

Besides payments, tiun also offers full tax compliance as MoR (which Stripe charges an extra +3.5%) - but not just that, you can also use tiun for authentication, a customer database and analytics. So it's literally the entire stack to launch a paid product to the world. The best part is you can connect our MCP and integrate it in one command.
I’m a Europe-based founder running a global SaaS platform. We serve customers across Europe and worldwide.
How does tiun handle VAT for B2C sales? What about B2B and reverse charge? And does tiun handle the invoice requirements too?

@sergiu_chiriac Thanks Sergiu! This is exactly the kind of complexity we want to take off your plate :) As the Merchant of Record, tiun is the legal seller, so we handle the tax side of the transaction.
For B2C, we calculate and collect the applicable VAT/sales tax and take care of collection, reporting and remittance.
For B2B, we collect the required business information and, where applicable, handle reverse charge instead of charging VAT.
And yes, invoicing is part of it too. We generate the compliant invoice for the customer based on the transaction and local requirements and for you in form of a reverse invoice and payout receipt.
So whether you’re selling B2C or B2B across different countries, the idea is that you shouldn’t have to figure out the tax logic yourself.
The Idea is great and it's gonna add more value to the new builder. However I'm more interested to know how this gonna integrate with custom business logic and role based authenticate system.

On role-based auth, the plan is to support role-based subscriptions so you can invite teammates or peers into the same product/account with different access levels. That’s part of the core functionality we’re actively working on.
On custom business logic, it really depends on the use case. Our general philosophy is not to support every possible edge case or the most complex setup imaginable. We want to cover the 80% of what SaaS and AI products need, and do that really, really well.
So if you need a highly custom authentication model or very complex payment logic, tiun probably isn’t the best fit today. But for the majority of products, the goal is to give you a strong default infrastructure layer that you can build your own product logic on top of.

@ansharora Thanks Ansh! There are two layers to the question :) You can sell and receive payouts in 120+ currencies. tiun holds the money in either a USD, GBP, EUR or CHF account (which is your default payment currency in your tiun dashboard)
The product hits the perfect pain point for most builders. So congrats on the launch. But how are you guys able to offer better pricing than Stripe?

@chetanvaswani Thanks Chetan! Being based in Switzerland definitely helps. We have a pretty strong payments and banking ecosystem here, and we’ve been able to build direct partnerships with payment providers that give us more flexibility on the economics.
A lot of MoRs out there process through Stripe and then need to add their own fees on top. We don’t.
Can’t share the whole setup, but that’s essentially how we’re able to keep the pricing competitive :)
This sounds really useful for SaaS builders. how easy is it to move an existing product over to tiun?

@avery_thompson2 Thanks Avery! It depends a bit on your existing stack, but you don’t have to move everything at once.
tiun can run alongside your current setup, so you can migrate step by step and switch things over when you’re ready.
