I’ve used this app religiously for nearly a year because the core idea is strong. The AI-powered editing suggestions for transcripts are helpful in theory, and the built-in templates are a great entry point, especially for beginners. But over time, the limitations start to show. The AI just isn’t as capable or flexible as some of the larger language models available, which means I often have to leave the app to finish editing or logging my voice memos elsewhere. More frustrating, though, are the recent bugs that have made the app nearly unusable. And when I reached out to support? Radio silence. Given the price of a yearly subscription, I expected more.. both in terms of feature evolution and basic customer support.

Under the hood, our app uses latest GPT-4o, plus you can fully customize it by writing the prompts to better suit your personal workflow and output style.

We believe you are referring to YouTube transcriptions bug. We’ve addressed it in the latest version, but also made it significantly faster. All despite YouTube is constantly blocking traffic we keep improving and overcome it. Please, update the app from the App Store.

Regarding price - we are offering unlimited transcriptions from web, files, videos, audios, recordings, unlimited AI, full native apps for iOS, iPadOS, macOS with sync across devices. That's just a glimpse of what we have and all for just 4$/month. You will not find similar offer.

Does not handle voice memos over 90 min. This leads to a question whether this product is running fully on my Mac laptop or use 'cloud' processing capacity. If the latter is correct that the confidentiality of my data could be likely compromised.

Nice app, pretty good quality of translation, but not perfect. GPT transformation helps to fix it, but text lost it's context after transforming

Thank you for 5 stars, Vladislav! For good quality transcriptions we use Large OpenAI Whisper model. VoicePen quality is already been proven by more than 100 reviews on the AppStore. It's by far the best one and you wouldn't find better one on the market.
