I’d probably separate prototyping and production more aggressively now: subscription-friendly tools for exploration, then API or provider redundancy for anything that touches real workflows. The bigger lesson is not just cost, it’s avoiding single-provider dependency.

I’ve noticed I click when the page promises a specific before-and-after, not just a category label. ‘AI for X’ is rarely enough anymore. The launches that pull me in usually make the user problem feel concrete right away.

My bias is that Product Hunt works best when curiosity can convert into immediate product understanding. A hard paywall may maximize early revenue in some contexts, but on PH it can kill the exploration loop that makes people comment, share, and recommend.

I think this is where many teams will rediscover that the model choice and the execution environment should be evaluated separately. I think the best answer is staged, not binary. Brand-first helps with distribution, but product-first gives you cleaner feedback. The risky version is when audience trust starts masking product weakness. I’d rather build enough product to create honest signal, then use the brand to amplify what is already working.

The interesting shift is that code generation is no longer the only bottleneck. Once multiple agents are involved, the harder problem becomes state alignment, task ownership, and reviewability. A living spec only matters if it also reduces ambiguity at handoff points.

My guess is not that solo startups will dominate absolutely, but that the minimum viable team for serious companies is dropping fast. The edge probably shifts toward small groups of unusually high-context people using AI well, not necessarily one-person companies forever. The interesting question is which functions remain stubbornly multi-perspective even when execution gets heavily automated.
