Might be wrong, but there seems to be quite a few platforms/marketplaces like this in the market. I've never been a user personally, but would be interesting to hear what the differentiated value is?
@oliver_bahne Great question Oliver! You're right, there are a lot of marketplaces in this area. Contra is unique in that we're commission-free, so if you're a contractor, you're not losing 10-20% to the platform. For companies who hire with us, this makes it cheaper, so they can hire more contractors, and it has helped us draw a lot of really high-quality talent to our platform who don't want or need to give up that much from their earnings! We also think we have the easiest-to-use and most beautiful platform as well, but would love for you to try it out and let us know!

Compared with Deel, we do all the same compliant contracts and payments work as they do, but we also help with sourcing new talent (ours is some of the best in the world!), and have better analytics and reporting for finance and exec teams.
Compared with Upwork, we're far less expensive to hire with because we're a *commission-free* platform where Upwork has a blended commission of around 15% (10% on the indies and 5% to the client), and we have better talent as well.
Combined, these differences make us a much easier place for companies to hire high-quality talent efficiently.
Since the beginning, hiring flexible talent ourselves has been a part of how we work. As amazing as our team is, we couldn't have built Contra into what it is today without the support of so many equally amazing freelancers 💛
What makes this launch special is that this idea grew in large part from our own experiences (and challenges) in hiring and managing these extraordinary folks.
