As someone deeply involved with personal growth and career development, I wonder how this app fits into a busy professional's lifestyle, does it offer any specific sounds for setting different moods or preparing for a big meeting, or will it just be another distraction on my phone, curious to hear other thoughts on this?

@careercatalystcoach Hi Fran, thanks for the feedback. Actually 90% of the soundscapes are supportive for relaxation and mediation, so you're in luck :) Give it a go and let me know what you think
Bérénice
Love the idea of having natural sounds to relax but any plans to make it customizable like mixing different soundscapes together, also noticed a bit of a lag when loading the interactive map, maybe some performance tweaks would help, curious to see where this goes 👀

@codecoffeedev thank you Bérénice! We're trying to keep things as "real" as possible, so at the moment we don't plan to add mixing feature. If you prefer more flexibility, you ight like this other project, also very cool: https://mynoise.net/ If you have any suggestions for the map integration, feel free to reach out to me on catalin@earth.fm xx

Sounds cool having so many natural sounds on my phone, but I wonder how the app works offline, does it even work then, and maybe add a feature to mix different sounds or something to make it unique?
Catalin Zorzini
@elevoceo Hi Thibault, yep we're currently working to implement the offline listening feature, should be live in the next couple of weeks xx

I get that some people might find listening to nature sounds nice, but 900+ recordings? feels a bit overkill, also, considering it's a non-profit, are we sure about the quality of these recordings? could be hit or miss, don’t you think?
Catalin Zorzini
@cestmeilleurvoyage Interesting that you're sharing these concerns Emmanuelle: indeed as a charity it's been quite a rollercoaster to make things happen, but because of our dedication and love for nature, here we are! Here's the latest non-profit report in case you're curious: https://earth.fm/financial-and-i... Re: quality, please check for yourself and let us know what you think. Our curators are quite picky you will find :)

Interesting concept here, but are people really gonna engage with it long term, feels a bit niche and I wonder if adding more interactive elements or maybe some kind of community feature might keep folks coming back, what do you think on expanding it beyond just soundscapes?
Catalin Zorzini
@cleanenergyconnector Great ideas Richard, thanks for sharing! The community aspect is indeed on our roadmap, and people indeed seem to come back so far for enjoying calming and soothing nature sounds :)

Very nice that you've launched this product free for users. 👍
Catalin Zorzini
@kevinxyz Thank you Kevin, we're doing our best to offer as much for free as possible!

So another app to add to the noise on my phone, it sounds cool but do we really need it, 900 soundscapes is a lot but how many people actually sit and listen to ocean waves all day, I get it for meditation but seems like a niche market if you ask me
Catalin Zorzini
@bizelevatepro Nature lovers is the best niche 🌏❤️🌱

900+ soundscapes sounds cool but what happens when I want to listen to my favorite one and they remove it, also, will there be an option to upload our own recordings, might be more engaging then, just thinking out loud here, how do you plan to keep it fresh without repeating the same stuff over and over
Catalin Zorzini
@chemcostpro21 Hi Miguel, sure, please submit your recordings here: https://earth.fm/submit/

Wow, okay I have to say, it’s super cool to see something like this app finally launch; I mean, to have 900+ natural soundscapes in your pocket is amazing, and the whole interactive soundmap thing is just genius, I've tried similar stuff from Calm and Headspace but this sounds way more extensive and, honestly, more genuine, so thumbs up, keep it up guys!
Catalin Zorzini
@charitypilotdev many thanks!
