Congrats on the launch! I once built a similar app to this and it was a great experience. Throughout the whole process of development I listened the same bird and wood cracking sound 1082 times!

@apodebana wow that is great to hear! Can you share more details about the project? Do you have any tips or suggestions? Much respect for trying to do this and for listening to a wood cracking sound for 1k times!

I recently started using the Earth FM app, and it has been a game-changer for my daily routine. The app provides an impressive range of global radio stations, allowing me to tune into different cultures and languages from around the world. Its intuitive interface makes it easy to navigate through various genres and stations, and the high-quality audio streaming ensures a crisp listening experience. One of my favorite features is the ability to save favorite stations and create personalized playlists based on my mood. Whether I'm working, relaxing, or traveling, Earth FM has become my go-to source for diverse and engaging music and talk shows.

Congrats on the launch, @zorzini! This app truly sounds like a game changer for anyone looking to connect with nature and unwind. The interactive soundmap feature is especially exciting—definitely a fun way to explore new environments. Can’t wait to delve into the soundscapes and support this amazing initiative! 🌍

I’ve been using the web version of Earth.fm for years with great satisfaction. However, I won’t be using the app. It just feels like a web wrapper to me. No timer, no alarm, no customised playlists (only favourites). Considering they are a no-profit, the monthly subscription is insanely expensive. Personally, I can’t afford spending $15+ per month on sounds. Maybe you should review your business model, as your competitors (Portal, Soundscapes) offer a much better UI with lower subscriptions. Oh, and there’s no trial. Their “trial” consists of 30 minutes of free daily listening, which most likely will not even get you halfway through a recording. I’ll stick with the free web version. Best of luck!

Congratulations @zorzini and the whole team on this amazing launch! 🎉 The Earth.fm app looks incredible—over 900 immersive soundscapes at your fingertips is fantastic! The high-quality recordings and interactive soundmap will definitely enhance the experience of relaxation and meditation. It's inspiring to see a non-profit platform making such a positive impact. Can't wait to start exploring those serene sounds from around the globe! This community is lucky to have such a thoughtful resource. Upvoted for sure! 🌍📲

Have you guys thought about adding user ability to upload their own recordings or maybe live nature sounds instead of just static recordings, not sure focusing only on pre-recorded sounds can keep it engaging long-term but interactivity could make it feel more alive, also any plans to expand to different sound genres beyond nature would be cool

Do we really need another app cluttering our phones, especially one just for soundscapes, can't we just step outside and listen to nature ourselves or use existing platforms, curious to see how this one will actually stand out and offer something unique, guess we’ll find out 🤔
