Is “US-first” still the right default for AI products?

With today s tools, translation (UI, copy, even video) is no longer the hard part.

What slows us down instead are things like tax, legal compliance, hiring, support, payments sometimes even geopolitics. The moment users show up from a new country, a product problem turns into an operating one.

Evals without tokens!

Hey all. I'm really interested in how you evaluate your agents in production.

The standard approach is sample, LLM as judge and possibly a golden dataset. That seems to be the standard setup.

Advice for a first-time founder when a launch does not meet expectations

If your launch does not go as planned, do not judge it too quickly.
Avoid the instinct to immediately add more features or pivot the product.

Instead, pause and evaluate what already exists.
Check whether the core features are clearly communicated, fully polished, and genuinely solve the intended problem.
Often, the issue is not the idea, but the execution, positioning, or user experience.

Refine what you have. Improve clarity, usability, onboarding, and messaging.
Then relaunch with focus and confidence.

Many products fail not because they were wrong, but because they were unfinished, unclear, or rushed.

What's after Product Hunt for self-funded startups?

Vokal got #2 product of the day and #7 of the week, and we now have 100+ signups from startups and teams. In general, people seem excited to try it out to up-level their teams to agent native.

Now I m trying to figure out the next step: how do we scale this beyond manual founder-led work?

I ve been writing posts, sharing content, and doing outreach manually, but it s starting to feel like a constant drain and a bottleneck. I ve been looking into tools like HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, and Clay.

For people who have used any of these: what has your experience been? Which ones are actually worth it at an early stage?

the audit trail level nobody names but every AI product needs eventually

most audit trails answer 'did this action happen.' the ones that hold up under legal scrutiny answer something harder: 'would the reviewer who signed it still say yes if you asked them today.'

ive been calling this consent-of-record. not just reviewer id, but reviewer knew X at time of sign-off and stands behind it now. it sits above the usual forensic level (timestamp, user, action, immutable hash chain). that layer proves it happened. it doesnt prove the human is still endorsing it.

How do you know if an idea will actually work?

The initial spark of an idea usually starts with a grand purpose and a wave of high motivation. However, over time, this process can turn into a cycle of professional and psychological exhaustion. As the project progresses, the idea hits walls relative to its purpose and fails to align with the real world. Sometimes, you have to give up right in the middle of building it; other times, as time passes and the idea keeps coming back to you, you begin to think it was just a nonsense idea in your mind all along. Watching a concept you once cherished slowly disintegrate like this is a process that pushes you to your psychological limits.
As a founder or product leader, how do you prevent your mind from manipulating you with these ideas?
When and how do you realize that an idea will actually work and that it isn't just a mental trap?

#vibecoding: What are your favorite Cursor pro-tips?

Recently stumbled across this Cursor pro-tip from Ian Nuttall on X:
"1. ask it to recommend a folder structure

2. ask it to actually create the folder/files based on that this makes it 10x easier for me to get started and Cursor is more accurate using codebase cos it knows where to update files."

That got me thinking, what other pro tips are people using to generate better code, ship faster, organise your space better, etc. Drop em below:

The Secret to a Successful Product Hunt Launch? Launch Before You Launch.

Every founder dreams of a big Product Hunt splash, top of the day, hundreds of upvotes, users flooding in. But here s what most don t realize: Product Hunt is not the place to validate your idea.

It s the place to amplify what s already working.

If you wait until launch day to show your product to the world, you ve already lost half the battle.
