I m increasingly noticing a trend: people use AI for (almost everything), especially for writing texts. it is nothing new, but it started to be annoying (?)
The problem is that AI often: fully or largely replicates existing text without adding anything new adds completely pointless things, like a two-line comment followed by writes extremely long comments that no one will actually read
Excluding the backend, we managed to construct our website in just a day https://www.netjet.io/en/ - Currently, we're dedicated to developing 3D templates that will soon be accessible to all our users.
In our meetings, we usually keep debating about what features to add to our product. But honestly, we need to be able to say NO to that.
Building became even easier with AI, so it is tempting to add a ton of features. The cost is how complex your app becomes. This is why products get messy fast. Usually it looks fine for old users, because they learned each feature slowly while you built it. But new users open the app and feel lost.
@busmark_w_nika asked yesterday what PH is missing and what people would improve. I am sure the team has enough to cook with now. So I want to ask the opposite:
What should Product Hunt kill? What feature would the product be better without?
What did you say NO to in your own product?
What feature would you remove from a big product you use?
Almost three years ago, I started working on a service to simplify end to end DevOps for the teams and now we're very close to our beta release. I had many reasons to do so, to name a few:
* we were wasting too much time and money on setting up CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, making everything work together, learning new technologies
* we were easily getting locked in with vendors
* no single tool was giving us a fraction of all we wanted to use
* although we had pretty straightforward requirements we had to repeat what perhaps a thousand more companies were doing
* going multi-cloud and using the best services of each of them from a single panel was just a dream Utopiops solves all these problems for us and any other software development team/individual.
