It's hard to look at insurance and get excited, and then Lemonade launches and you say, what? How's that possible? Awesome job guys :-)

Take a bow Lemonade team :-) Would love to see this in London. Maybe change the P2P pitch, makes your service sound unstable by giving the impression that my claim is dependant on another/other user(s).

Is this only USA based and not for anyone in UK or Europe?

It shows that you've given this a lot of thought and made an offering that is vastly different from what currently exists and is also congruent with your mission. Very inspiring to see this created as a founder. Good luck!

Love the idea. Will be interesting to see how well this works in practise. The model seems to be highly reliant on people not making fraudulent claims because that money would then be taken away from a cause they care about. a) Will people really care more about the cause than about their own pocket? If so, why not just make a direct donation to that cause? b) Might users designate a cause that they don't really care about to avoid any feelings of guilt when over-claiming? c) What happens if the level of claims exceeds the amount going to the designated cause? How will those claims be paid? I'm sure that Dan has considered these questions but would be great to know how they have been addressed.
