@lukew feedback for first time user experience -- couldn't find any indication of the default privacy setting. Had to visit the Space url from an incognito window to find out it's indeed private, but I'm guessing a mainstream user would just abandon the process. Other than that, nice work! May try it out with a small team.

@msarlitt not really "private" but limited to those with the link. You can also revoke access to that link at any time.

this looks cool. I previously tried using a private Google+ group at a previous startup to share links internally

It's interesting to see, why spaces was build, as you can see in a survey every brand is creating it's own small community of followers on facebook, every group is organizing their own meetups, Slack communities have grown tremendously . People started talking and sharing their ideas in groups rather than public.. People are moving more towards healthy communities rather than social media public posts. May be this is what google thinkers thought. A good move . And would be interesting to know how they arrived at this story board as google+ new face ? Any way, i liked it, it's private and can be for small not disturbing.

Looks good to start with, but limited features. Integrate Maps, Drive, Docs, Sheet, ability to send any attachments etc. Also, considering it's intended for a small group, how about option for a group video / audio chat? @lukew

@varundave thanks for the suggestions, we've heard from lots of folks that additional content types in their spaces would be useful (docs, maps, etc)

I am not getting any idea of why I should use this given FB/Whatsapp groups are already there.

I don't like how Google is trying to push material design into iOS..

@kaiburghardt It's how they design their interfaces, why wouldn't they design their own app with material design? It doesn't really have a lot to do with the OS.

Wow, the design of the page is insanely great! Loving this. Scrolling doesn't work well at all, but the graphics and the concept are super cool

I am having trouble identifying the use case(s). According to their website, you get the Flipboard-like clipping function to import content, chat aspects from Google+, sharing features ala Android, and a familiar card layout. What is the point of this? To have discussions? I guess I don't see a lot of productivity aspects here. Maybe it's meant to be used as a chat room which can then springboard into Google Docs?
