I honestly don't see the point of Instagram having a different app for messaging! Also what happened to differentiating yourself from others? all the messaging apps look the same these days :(

The world of apps and web services are unbearably boring and stagnant now -- it has been, for a good while.
I can't stand the same camera, messenger, stupid social network, newsletter, form/doc and productivity app over and over again.. same old bollox.
Nobody is solving any real problems and it feels as though everybody is bottom feeding from everybody.
I'm not even sick of it anymore.
I'm hung over..

Instagram tries to become Snapchat, but compared to Snapchat Instagram sucks.

Cons:

I can see a huge potential in this. Messaging is getting bigger and bigger these days. And a lot of people follow people they don't know on Instagram and now it's easier to have private conversations with them. Email is not a huge thing for young people today but they spend a lot of time on social media, and this is a great way to make closer connections. I hope that this experiment will be featured in the Instagram app in the future so I don't have to have another app. Looking forward to trying it.
Pros:
Connect with people outside own network in a fun way

Absolutely no one:
Not a single person on earth:
Facebook: Let's make messages tab a separate 1.2gb app and make everyone install it and jump between apps awkwardly when they press a button
Pros:
None
Cons:
FFS, stop splitting apps into other apps, it's not a good idea
