This solves such a real indie founder pain . Owning your own infrastructure and saving hundreds every month ? Also does it support team accounts or shared dashboards for marketing teams ? Overall brilliant 👏

I have been using Maillayer since day one of it's release and it has been the best self-hosted alternative out there. Mohd works on all of his SaaS's with a passion, and with the constant improvements of Maillayer it's a 100% recommendations!

The one-time pricing is cool. Also, easier to set up given the help available from AI coding assistants.

@weirdowizard Yes, best to use for life time and full control on the data.

Hi! Looks promising. What tech stack is 'behind the scenes'?

Chris Hicken

We don't need a new email client; we need a smarter way to interact with the one we have. Framing it as a 'layer' on top of Gmail is a genius move for adoption. If this works as promised, it could fundamentally change my relationship with email.

Love this update. Self-hosted tools like Maillayer are exactly what indie founders need — simple pricing, full control, and no recurring SaaS drain. Huge respect for building this!

Congrats with the launch! If someone buys lifetime license, the updates are included anyway or the person should update it himself?

Mohd Danish
@alextroitsky thanks Alex. Updates are included for lifetime and update changes just need to sync fork repo

@mddanishyusuf why you decided to give lifetime license, not subscription? did you test unit economy before that?
