I wrote several times to NOT renew especailly when they sent an email that they would review. I wrote them immediately and they did not respond.. They charged me for 1 year renewal. They have yet to respond despite repeated requests. I hope to get my bank to help but the jury is out. They used to respond to questions when I was new user but now Unresponsive and NO support.

Pros:

ok in the beginning but sometimes did not get any read confirmations especially on very important ones.

Cons:

There are alternatives but no idea of support and I HATE the enrollment automatic renewal policy.Very difficult to get them to stop.

Hi @dom_rossi - sorry for your trouble! We acquired MailTag 2 weeks ago and we are reaching out to all users to make sure they've been given a voice regarding any issues they've had. Let's connect.

works really really well, a totally satisfying experience during onboarding. After that, you can “set it and forget it” and be notified when people open your emails. I saw on the chrome store there was new management, seems like they’re on the ball. Amazing. Keep up the good work!

Well, as of now, I like this product a lot. Makes my job a lot easier. But that was not the situation some two months back. Initially I took the trial version and was pretty much satisfied with it, and then chose one of the premium plans. Everything was working fine, but gradually, some features stopped working. Contacted their customer support and there was no response, no response at all, and I chose an alternate email tracker. It was great until it stopped working - the dashboard was awesome, the real time notifications, fast, and I didn't like the alternative as much as this one - but was okay with that. Some two or three months back, I got an email saying that Mailtag is under new ownership and they apologize for the inconvenience, etc. And now I've returned to this one again. It's not the same as it was before, it's a lot better. The dashboard now has a lot of information, their customer support was very responsive and polite when I approached them regarding subscription. No fails so far.

First of all, thanks to the new owners for taking over this product and making it work again. As many have mentioned, it went to a complete 'hibernation' for a long time. Nothing was working. My one year subscription seemed like a total waste, until Ben and Joe took the ownership. They contacted me and asked me to give it one more try. Used it for some weeks, and totally loved the product. They have improved a lot in design, performance and features, and minor changes come every month.

I hit a paywall when trying to remove the watermark
Alex Edson
@revhuff You can remove the watermark on our free version. :) Please email Help@MailTag.io if you have any questions.
Josh Huff
This is not true as of now. I click the box in preferences and it says I must start a free trial, which is not the same as having it on your free version.
Alex Edson
@revhuff Hi Josh, you do not need to begin a free trial of our premium plan to remove the watermark. You can track your emails (and link clicks, email reopens, open rates, etc.) on our free plan without ever needing to upgrade. :) Here is a GIF: https://gyazo.com/09e6e3b5ab5f19... Once you click remove, simply exit the pop-up and proceed to send your email (the watermark will not be present). Please email Help@MailTag.io if you have any questions. :)

Hi @_sklahr_ sorry to hear this. Would you be so kind as to please email our support team? We'd be happy to help you resolve this. (Help@MailTag.io)

I started to just the product when they first launched and the CEO would answer support emails, but since they did the fund raising it has gone to hell in a hand basket. They have stopped responsing to support emails and have dropped off the plant.

Pros:

It used to be good

Cons:

Unable to get ahold of anybody at the company, they never return emails.

Good news, it's now under new ownership. Expect fast customer service, stability, and new features again.

Nice product @aedson98 Quick question though, how do you compare yourself with Mailtrack for example who also offer free unlimited tracking and free watermark removable such as you?
Alex Edson
Thank you very much, @stephanejuban! And great question, I'm glad you asked. Unlike Mailtrack, MailTag is the only email tracking tool in the Chrome extension store that provides you with: - Free push notifications when your emails have been read (and free link-click push notifications) - Free link-click tracking - Free full email open history - Free kick-ass dashboard (which shows you neat things like unread emails and your average open-rates). - Free 24/7 email support - Free live-chat support - We offer an all-in-one premium package called PRO, which is purchasable with a monthly subscription (just $3.15 a month, billed annually). Compare this to Mailtrack, which charges $60.00+ a year and refuses to offer monthly billing plans. - And, in addition to all of the above benefits, our dashboard allows you to track your email open-rates, link-click rates, and other relevant data with easy to understand graphs (Mailtrack has no such features). MailTag: https://gyazo.com/cf68201e641b96... Mailtrack: (No graph available, as they charge you to access their dashboard). But the best part about all of the above is that the best is yet to come (be sure to follow our company on Twitter for all the latest and greatest - https://twitter.com/MailTagio Also, compatibility for all major browsers and email clients is coming soon. :)
Stéphane Juban
@aedson98 Nice thanks for the summary 🤗 I might switch then when the compatibility with Google Inbox is out... Also, I can't say that Mailtrack support is fantastic, I once asked to try the "team plan" for free for one month before purchasing it for us but they never answered. I guess we are too small to be considered as true client... but they have a good Google Inbox integration, so I'm still using it... but the Free plan... ✌️
Alex Edson
@stephanejuban Happy to help. :) Yes, I've heard Mailtrack support is slow. MailTag guarantees a response within 24 hours, 7 days a week (365 days a year). I think we'll "win you over" with our upcoming MailTag V2 update. Be sure to follow us on Twitter for the details so you don't miss anything. :) - https://twitter.com/MailTagio
Stéphane Juban
@aedson98 When should we expect this ? 1 month ? 6 months ? 1 year ? :)
Alex Edson
@stephanejuban Can't give an exact date at the moment, but I can assure you that an illegal amount of Redbull is being consumed by our team to get this to you as soon as humanly possible. But definitely not more than 30-60 days. :)

It doesn't seem "Free Forever" anymore. https://www.mailtag.io/pricing I see no free option here, apart from a free trial
Ben Cohen
@alessandrotenconi Hi there - we acquired MailTag 2 weeks ago and we are reaching out to all users to make sure they've been given a voice regarding any issues they've had. Regarding "free forever" - the old ownership used that moniker, we do offer a 14 day free trial but the service is now paid. Please feel free to reach out to us to get a discount. Email: ben @ mailtag.io
