The Peel Super Thin Wireless Charger - A beautifully simple wireless charger for iPhone and Android

byβ€’

The Peel Wireless Charger was engineered to be visually simple and incredibly thin. It charges both iPhone and Android devices at their fastest wireless charging speeds (7.5w and 10w). The extra long cable can reach your outlet from a distance (wall plug not included). It's available in black or white for $49.

@marshal I preordered 2, but wonder if this will charge Apple Watch as well? :)

Sadly, I just bought this product but I can't use it b/c it's not compatible with my iPhone. PEEL should make it clear on this page and elsewhere on its site which versions of the iPhone it is compatible with: http://help.buypeel.com/product-... After hunting around, I found that is only compatible with Qi-enabled iPhones (version 8 or higher). Also, my friend has an iPhone 8 Plus and it didn't charge. We'll try it again and follow Raad's advice on how to properly place it on the charging pad and see if it works. I'd love to give this product a thumb's up but I can't given the issues we've had.

So far I have only one successful charge out of this device. Other than that, I had to wake up to either the same battery percentage or lower.

Contacted customer service and I was advised to have my PEEL case off (yes their cases are amazing) because I have a house keyfob sticker attached to it on the top right corner of my phone.

And apparently something as small and flat as a sticker has the ability to stop the charging completely. Even with the case off, it rarely charges for me and I have the iPhone XS MAX

Pros:

Look slick and discreet

Cons:

Doesn't work

The charger doesn't come with a wall adapter, which isn't a problem if you've had a few iPhones over the years. I plugged it in with the standard issue iPhone 5W outlet adapter and it worked! For a couple seconds before it stopped charging. I left it overnight just in case, but no dice. I emailed their support and submitted a replacement request, but didn't hear back for a few days. Tweeting at them worked almost instantaneously, however.

Anyway, I tried the 12W iPad wall outlet and it now seems to work. That said, there was no instruction from what I saw on the product page nor help centre, warning me that my iPhone outlet adapter wouldn't work at all.

Pros:

Perfect looking

Cons:

No wall adapter, didn't work with iPhone adapter

Overall, not a good product. Worked "ok" the first few months. Now the charger will constantly pause trying to charge the phone. Took the case off my phone and the issue still occurs. Wish I could get a refund. I'll be looking at the Belkin Boost Up Gold Wireless Charging Pad instead. The one I have at home works miles better than the Peel Wireless Charger. Don't waste your money like I did.

Don't recommend

Pros:

Beautiful design

Cons:

Worked for two weeks then stopped charging my iPhone XS. Replacement from support also stopped working after a month

I love Peel cases so was super excited about this product. I've have nothing but issues. I stopped using it altogether for my iPhone XS (it's too important for me to have a full charge on my phone to mess around with whether or not this thing is actually going to work). I then switched and started using it for my AirPods (after the new cases came out last month). You would think that because the case is so small I would just be able to set it on the middle of the Peel charging station and it would work. Nope. It will always START to charge and then as soon as I walk away (thinking that I have successfully put the device exactly where it needs to be on the pad and then I'll come back hours later and the case won't have charged at all. I can not recommend this product to anyone in its current version.

Pros:

It's pretty

Cons:

It doesn't work (with iPhones or AirPods)

I should have read the reviews for this charger before buying five as gifts this year. Received the order and out of the box the first one lasted 3 minutes and smoked an official Apple iPhone charger cube. Plugged it into my MBP and got the same "USB device using to much power" error message. I really don't know how they can continue to sell these with so many reported problems.

Agreed with the other comments. Sometimes works, sometimes not. Looks great, but not reliable.
