Product Hunt now flags comments that are AI-generated. Honestly, I think this is a good thing.
I am attaching a screenshot below that shows how AI comments are marked.
AI comments tend to be loud, generic, and overly polished. Having that distinction visible could make communities more transparent and encourage people to leave genuine feedback.
It made me wonder today, what happens if platforms like LinkedIn, X and Reddit start following the same path. That would make social media real again.
For me, the best way I've found to write genuine comments is pretty simple: I dictate them using @Aqua Voice.
I turn on the AI diction app, say what I'm actually thinking, then make a few small edits for formatting or clarity. That's it. I have also started using tools that auto-complete my sentences in case I am typing them manually.

Auto-complete tools are a great way to speed up your writing. You can try @Typeahead by @hnshah or @Cotypist by @daniel_a_a.

@rohanrecommends Do I get it right that instead of making some comments invisible to others they will be marked as AI-generated? or that was something different?
@alieksia I am unaware about why comments would be invisible. But this tag seems to be given to comments that are visible and are AI generated.

Honestly, sometimes AI suggests good points, just have to double check them for false claims

Otherwise funny timing - I was thinking about this writing a comment in a different thread. It is more enjoyable to read human-generated ones, but I also wonder where is the line between AI-generated and AI-assisted?

@rohanrecommends I also noticed a fair amount of standard comment flags / upvoted from accounts who they deemed to be - not active enough OR overly spammy. I guess all of this in an attempt to keep the platform from becoming an AI cesspool of LLMs talking to eachother with humans as their proxies.

Agreed. Honestly, the comments section is supposed to be the signal that tells you whether real people find something useful. If that signal is polluted with generated text, the whole point of launching kind of falls apart.
Excellent idea, because one has to provide its own ideas (named prompt) to have an AI-generated comment. I use AI because I like talking to intelligent people, I create CV and letters and I can ask for anything.
