Tried it ...awesome concept! Really love the idea.
Really liked the way you implemented the graphs
Excited to share that we’re launching on the same day!

Paul Richards

@niladri_hazra Thanks Niladri! All the best for your launch too.

Niladri Hazra

@paul_richards1 Thanks man

Sanskar Yadav

Congratulations on such a solid launch!

Recall actually sounds super useful for organizing and, most importantly - using saved content instead of letting it rot in bookmarks.
I’m curious, though - how well does Recall handle messy, mixed sources?

Paul Richards

@sanskarix Hi there, thanks for the comment and question. It works well on all the sources that we support. We transform the data into the same text embeddings so there shouldn't be a difference in quality across different data types. You can find all the source that we support here: https://docs.getrecall.ai/supported-content/all-supported-content

I'm obsessed with these new style apps where you just toss articles and videos to them and they summarize them. Recall is fantastic. I love that they also make connections between the articles and videos and things you save to it. I love this app so far.

@iamjmw Thank you so much Joseph! I do hope you have a fantastic experience with us. Let us know how it goes.

Paul Richards

@iamjmw Thanks for the amazing post Joseph. Hope you carry on loving using Recall. Also do let us know if you have feedback on how we can continue to improve.

Congrats @sankari_nair and Recall team. After demoing Recall today, already seeing great FTU value. Onboarding was really smooth, informative, and helpful to help me navigate the basics with the YT tutorial, and linking me to the chrome extension. Already saved a number of YouTube videos and had my first chat with the content, and quite happy with the results. Just one small UI issue I had... I didn't realize that I had to type the tag directly next to the @, so I included the @ in the prompt area where it says "chat with your knowledge base". The input disappeared into the internet ether, and I waited a moment thinking there was latency, but then figured out I needed to add my tag to the @ section above the prompt. It would have been nice to either have Recall notice my intention and still allow the chat to proceed, or send me an error to let me know to retype the prompt with the correct tagging procedure. Otherwise, a very smooth and satisfying FTU product experience!

Paul Richards

@sankari_nair  @jorgeclarktan Thanks a lot for this feedback Jorge and glad the onboarding went (mostly) smoothly. You should be able to @ content as you would expect within the prompt input. There must have been a glitch. We will look into it tomorrow and try to debug it.

Jorge Clark-Tan

@sankari_nair  @paul_richards1 update - I loved my initial experience so much and got so much value chatting with my first Recall knowledge base, I already upgraded to the Plus plan this morning :) Thinking about the work and personal use cases and excited for all the possibilitlies!

Paul Richards

@sankari_nair  @jorgeclarktan Glad to hear it Jorge.

Daniel Zaitzow

Really interesting / congrats on the launch - as it relates to replicating my tonality for content / ideation etc - is this where I would create those things or would I just interact with resources to get top level insights?

Mihir

@dzaitzow it depends on the type of content. For some content if you've saved detailed insights & more data. The chat can go in depth on those topics but for others where the information is sparse you might see less or top level info only.

Daniel Zaitzow

@mikr13 Interesting!

Paul Richards

@dzaitzow Hi David, thanks for the question. You can prompt the LLM for the tone that you want. There is not specific option for it.

I am not fully sure I understand the second part of your question.. But yes you can interact with all the content that you have ever saved so you can ask a question and get a response based on past content (videos, podcasts, blogs etc) that you have saved into Recall

Hanna Z

super useful for researchers (always forgetting about citations!

Mihir

@hanna_z absolutely. Let us know if you have any feature requests, suggestions, feedback or issues! 💯

Paul Richards

@hanna_z Thanks for the comment Hanna. How were you managing your citations before?

Hanna Z

@paul_richards1 I used many things - Zetero, EndNote, Bookmarks(LOL) etc. Convinency has been a top issue (I can see Zetero was seeking for a best UX for this, but often encounter unknown errrors). Looking forward to you being the next!!

Paul Richards

@hanna_z Thanks for letting me know Hanna.

Mehrzad Goli

Honestly I like the idea!
I have not heard of you product since today and it's really great

Paul Richards

@mehrzadgoli thanks Mehrzad. Would love to hear more of your feedback after you try out the product.

Faisal Khan
congratulations 👏🎉 I loved it 👏
Paul Richards

@faisal_khan51 Glad you love using Recall.

Lien Chueh

Excited to be launching on the same day as Recall! 100% agree that the source matters, especially since there's only so much context that can be stored in a quick bullet point. I'm always having to comb through my history to find some article that I read weeks ago so having something to help me recall information is great!

Are there ways to categorize or tag specific content in order to bucket them into their own respective summaries?

Paul Richards

@lienchueh Hi Lien, thanks for the comment and question. Yes, there is a tagging system, the AI will automatically assign a tag but you can also add your own tags. When adding new content, the AI will try re-use existing tags so you can keep related content together.

Demetre Minchev

I've tried a whole LOTTA organisation systems and second brains, this is the only one I actually use.
It's so easy to add content and now with AI search features, it's a lot easier to find it.

It's early days for this product and I would already give it a 8.5/10.

There are a few quirks, but the devs are very responsive and the product is evolving very quickly.
My brain is finally organised :)

Good Job @Recall Team

Paul Richards

@smartsovereign Hi Demetre, thanks so much for such a nice comment. Can't wait for the day where you will be giving us a 10/10 ;)
