Newspatchd: Built for newsletter writers drowning in tabs.

The problem: reading the same story across Reuters, Bloomberg, CNBC, and Axios every week was eating me alive.

Four different angles. Four different spins. You have to read all of them to know what actually happened.

That's not writing. That's archaeology.

Newspatchd connects to your RSS feeds, reads everything, finds the through-line, and drafts your newsletter in your voice.

SiteRows example #1:

Hello world! I'm starting this series of examples/use-cases of siterows.com, the new app I recently built. Without further ado...
Quick reminder of what this app does: Allows you to scrape web content with SQL, like you would query a DB. Creating a FREE account unlocks automation features and higher usage limits.
Today's question: "How do I call the SiteRows API so I can automate web extraction tasks?"
Below is a simple Python example/response, and I'm also saving all examples in this GitHub repo: github.com/sgt-oz/SiteRows
Thanks, everyone. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or feedback.

What’s the biggest problem you face while building your startup?

What s the biggest problem you face while building your startup?
For us at VertoX, one of the biggest challenges is resources and infrastructure complexity.
Real-time multilingual voice translation at the level we re trying to build simply doesn t really exist yet.
That means we constantly deal with difficult architectural decisions, GPU limitations, latency optimization, model selection, streaming infrastructure, and figuring out what actually works at scale.
In some ways, it feels like we re building technology where there is no clear roadmap yet.
And honestly, I think that s one of the hardest parts of deep tech startups.
Curious what other founders struggle with the most while building.
Maybe someone reading the comments will avoid a mistake because of your experience.

The Hidden Danger of "All-or-Nothing" Crowdfunding on Shopify

When merchants want to test demand for a new product, they naturally look toward the "all-or-nothing" crowdfunding model popularized by platforms like Kickstarter. The premise is simple: set a financial goal, let customers back the project, and if the goal isn't met, everyone gets their money back. No harm, no foul.

But when app developers try to force this exact model onto standard Shopify stores by offering "automatic refunds for failed campaigns," they inadvertently expose merchants to massive financial liabilities.

Here is why the "charge upfront, mass-refund later" model is a ticking time bomb for your Shopify business and how you can test product demand without risking your payment processor account.

compliancedoc — Compliance-grade code documentation for finance, right inside VS Code

Hey PH If you've ever had to prep a codebase for a SOX audit, a PCI-DSS review, or a FINRA examination, you know the pain: engineers write the code, compliance officers need to understand it, and the gap between those two worlds is expensive. We built compliancedoc to close that gap a VS Code extension that analyzes your selected code against 7 major financial compliance frameworks and generates audit-ready output in seconds. What it does: Explain Plain-English breakdowns of what your code does, what data it touches, and what compliance risk it surfaces. Written for compliance officers, not just devs. Generate Docs Auto-inserts a strict JSDoc block above your function with compliance tags, data classification, PII flags, risk level, and rule references like SOX-302, PCI-3.4, or GDPR-Art32. Suggest Refactoring Identifies compliance gaps and produces a remediation plan with a refactored code example. Use it before commits or during audit prep. Generate Audit Reports A formal report with executive summary, regulatory mapping, access control assessment, and sign-off readiness. Designed for examiners, not just devs. Frameworks supported: FINRA SEC SOX PCI-DSS GLBA CFTC GDPR Who it's for: Engineers at banks, fintechs, and trading firms who get pulled into compliance reviews Compliance teams who need to evaluate code without reading every line Engineering leads building audit evidence packages for regulators Free tier gets you 10 operations/month across all features. Pro is unlimited, with custom personal rules you can scope globally or per framework. We'd love feedback from anyone navigating financial compliance in their day-to-day dev work. What frameworks are missing? What would make your audit prep less painful? Install free from the VS Code Marketplace https://marketplace.visualstudio...

📄 White Paper Vol. 4 | Pure Copper AM for Optical Transceiver Thermal Management Applications

As optical transceivers scale from 1.6T to 3.2T, heat flux climbs while the module footprint remains fixed. Conventional die-cast housings are hitting their cooling limits.

Addireen s approach: Fabricate the transceiver housing as a single pure copper component using Green Laser AM. By integrating staggered short-fin arrays directly into the casing, we eliminate thermal interface resistance entirely.

One random conversation can completely change your life

One random conversation can completely change your life.

That s probably one of the biggest things I ve realized while building a startup.

One conversation can lead to a huge idea.
One piece of feedback can save you months of mistakes.
One person can introduce you to hundreds of others.

That s why I think it s so important to talk with different people, hear different opinions, and stay open to advice and feedback.

Know exactly where your users come from. From day one.

We built 28 apps before we built Attribr.

And for most of them, we had no idea which marketing channels were actually working.

Downloads were happening. Users were coming in. But the link between "we posted this" and "these people signed up" was always a guess. Gut feel dressed up as strategy.

So we built our own attribution SDK. Lightweight, privacy-first, zero third-party dependencies. Drop it into any iOS or Android app in about 10 minutes and start tracking installs, attribution sources, and 30-day retention from day one.
