Receive the real-time feedback about your work efficiency and the number of distractions.
Manage tasks, keep an eye on your performance and block distracting websites like Facebook, Reddit or Product Hunt to keep your unproductive habits under control.
I really like this app so far, I got downloaded it at the beginning of my workday and already feel really set up as I'm closing out. The way it handles adding lists to your productivity/unproductive tabs is intuitive and non-intrusive. I like it, and I like seeing how productive I was while trying to attempt a task - very critical to my job that requires lots of self-motivation and self-accounting.
Pros:
Very intuitive UI, Very easy to get started.
Cons:
Easy to just toggle focus mode off, tasks isn't feature rich.

Can I divide the time spent on different projects? Would this suit me if I'm a freelance most of the time?
@vadim_besedin sure! We worked on this part very well. You can set tasks, projects and compose reports to share with a client, for example. Is that what you asked about?

It looks like what I need. I use several applications for these goals now. Do you plan to make the same application for mobile devices?
@new_user_24318d4dbc Maybe in the future. We're a small bootstrapped team, and can only do so much. Right now we are focused to bring the best experience on desktop, but many people are requesting the mobile, so may happen ;)
@bricis thanks for sharing! It seems DeskTime is company-size oriented, while Y-Productive is designed for a personal use. How's the productivity feedback organized there? How does the app know what's productive or unproductive for you?
Report
@alex_zhebryakov Indeed. We used it for our team, but I don't recall anything particularly cumbersome that would make it hard for personal use. As far as I remember productivity was measured by your active usage of productive apps previously setting up which apps are productive and which aren't (there was also something in-between labeled as "neutral"). I'm not really sure how websites were categorized or whether there was any automatic detection mechanism. Web app was quite good but Windows app and the whole process of switching projects and clicking "start/stop project" button made it feel more like a controlling tool than productivity tool. If I have to think about it - it's not productive. :)
@bricis thanks for taking the time for reply! Are you going to try Y-Producitve?
I would be very grateful if you shared your experience afterwards, especially in comparison with DeskTime.

@alex_zhebryakov I'll let you know. :) Good luck with Y-Productive!

This app is awesome!Exactly what I needed.
Great solution for people who wants to track their productivity.
The first thought using this app was : I need it for my phone!I spend a lot of time with it and it harms my productivity so much.
The question is : when you guys are going to have a mobile app?:)
