Phase 1: Text-only playtesting

Start here. Seriously. Put your dialogue in text boxes and watch playtesters read it. You'll cut 30% of your lines before anyone speaks a word. Written dialogue that reads well often sounds terrible spoken aloud, and vice versa. Test the script before you voice it.

While building JusRecruit, we kept hearing the same challenge from recruiting teams:

A single job posting can attract hundreds or even thousands of applicants, but recruiters still need to manually screen resumes, schedule calls, and filter candidates before the hiring manager sees them.

It slows down hiring and takes a huge amount of recruiter time.

That s when products and details start drifting between scenes.

I am working for a 20-person startup. @Linear is our product development system, which we really enjoy.

I ve had a lot of conversations lately, and there s one pattern that keeps showing up.
You launch. Signups roll in. Everything feels great.
But as the product grows, pricing becomes a mess.
More complexity. Harder to manage. And suddenly, you're stuck.

Do you double down on the product or stop and figure out pricing?

For most teams, it becomes one of two paths:
Path 1: You treat pricing like a product. Features, tiers, plans, discounts it becomes its own development cycle.
Path 2: You and your team scribble numbers into a spreadsheet and hope it works.

Neither scales.

I felt extremely busy last week and realized I barely did anything.
We said: Let s reach out to as many VCs and angels as possible.
Sounds productive, right? But your brain doesn t understand that.
What does many mean?
Who exactly?
Where do we find them?
What do we say?
How many per day?
I realized the plan has to be almost stupidly simple. So we sat down for a full day and turned it into a protocol:
Find investors here open their page follow wait X time send message log it in the sheet etc...
Some people might feel a bit stupid needing this level of structure.
I actually think it s the opposite. If your brain is capable of solving hard problems, your time is too valuable to waste on small decisions. Structure lets you spend your energy executing instead of constantly figuring out what to do next.

Quick update from the trenches.

One thing that kept coming up in early feedback: there was no way to control silence in generated audio. You'd write a dramatic script, generate it, and the timing between lines felt off. No breathing room. No pauses for effect.

We just shipped a new HtmlDrag update focused on sharing and editing reliability.

Here s what s new:

1. Better sharing controls

- You can now choose share duration more flexibly: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or until membership expiry.

Today, I read a TechCrunch article about what investors are no longer looking for in SaaS, or rather, what to avoid if you don't want to lose their interest.

The red flags were:

• Too easy to replicate light AI wrappers, generic horizontal tools, basic CRM clones, generic productivity or project management tools.

• No real depth products where differentiation is mostly UI and automation, anything without proprietary data, surface-level analytics.

• Becoming obsolete workflow automation tools that coordinate human work (agents are taking over), integrations as a moat (MCP is making connectors a commodity), and "workflow stickiness" products trying to keep humans inside their software.

I've been thinking about how the people who curate information are becoming more valuable than the people who create it. There is so much content now that finding the signal in the noise is the real skill.

One thing we noticed while building TravelAnimator:
Many travel videos are actually round trips.

Road trips.
Hikes that return to the starting point.
Cycling routes.
Out-and-back journeys.

But creating the return path meant manually rebuilding the same route in reverse. Not ideal.
