Congrats on launch! Is it somehow similar to obsidian and logseq?

Thank you, Anytype team! This is what I’ve been wishing for. I can see this becoming my creative home base for a very long time. My big sticking point is that I make big notes with lots of sections, and I desperately need to “toggle” all levels of headings and text so I can see my thought topics and make my giant project pages manageable. There’s a request for full toggle function in the community forum and a team member said it was definitely happening, already in the works. THANK YOU!!! Can you say when that’s rolling out? I’m 100% transferring all of my work into Anytype as soon as it does.

@jbgahh Thank you for your enthusiasm and support! We truly appreciate your participation in our community forum, it's invaluable to us! Just to clarify, are you referring to the ability to expand all the nested toggles at once? Can't find this feature request on the community forum.
Jay B. Gahh
@requilence Thanks for following up. I’m referring to a post called: Make “toggle” a feature of every block instead of/in addition to a block type Even if that title doesn’t end up describing the exact best implementation, I agree with the point. In that discussion, @isle9 summed it up well: “I’m not sure about all blocks, but use cases for headings and lists should be pretty obvious. If you section your canvas with headings, you can then easily toggle them on and off to hide the text that you might need or not need at the moment. Especially if you have a lot of text in one object. Similar use case for lists. If you have a really long list that also has a couple of indents, that can easily get out of hand. Obsidian has automatic toggles for those, for example.”

Hey @requilence I’m checking in on my question above. In the feature request post I mentioned, it looks like it was you who said that expanding toggles beyond its current limited use was 100% on track and in progress. Is there an eta for rollout, or did that plan get scrapped? Fingers crossed for the first option!!! Thank you.
Jay B. Gahh
@requilence, @anytypelabs, @sharipova — I’m on the edge of my seat, bursting with excitement to move my digital world into Anytype… I just need to know how & when toggling capabilities will be expanded (please see my question above). Thanks!!

congrats team!

@hilmanski Thank you, we are super happy that we have finally opened our product for everyone! 🙌

Love the concept! Does that mean that we can create team specific graphs for our startup? Currently both Notion and Coda charge a hefty amount for team plans. If this works for teams then it will be a game changer for us internally at Mempools.com
Roman Khafizianov
@dmitriif Thanks for your interest! We're launching collaboration features by the end of the year. We aim to be powerful alternative for teams. Plus, there's an option to self-host. Stay tuned!

I was hoping it was something far from what it actually is; another notes and task app.
Roman Khafizianov
@chrisshort It may seem similar to other note and task apps at first glance. Beyond just notes and tasks, it allows you to create types and relations that mimic real-world classifications. Think of it as creating your own database or knowledge graph, where you define the parameters. Plus, with E2E encryption, a local-first design, and being able to check the source-code, it prioritizes speed, data ownership and privacy. But what truly sets Anytype apart is our vibrant community. We have a myriad of users who share insights, provide feedback, and actively participate in shaping the future of Anytype. We're not just building a product; we're building it together as a community :)

Does Anytype have an API, that we can use to connect with other apps?
Roman Khafizianov
@simoelalj, right now we have the local API which was designed with our own clients in mind. For example, it has a lot of focus on the block-based commands and real-time events. So, it may be challenging to build some kind of simple integration using this API, and we don't publicly highlight it. Still, we would like to hear what you want to do with the API, so we can shape it in a way our users would enjoy building on. You can connect with us via the https://community.anytype.io or at the TG group https://t.me/anytype

This looks really interesting. Like Notion and Obsidian mashed together. That's pretty sweet!

Thanks for offering a great app with privacy first. There are issues with p2p sync once the back up hit its limit.

  1. Attachments no longer can be synced between devices, I have to switch to Local only mode in one of my device to make it sync.

  1. If I switch both devices to Local Only mode, it no longer sync

  2. Space logo cannot sync, it just blank in the other devices

  3. File/image something display "Image/file is broken"

All happens once the back up limit is exceeded.

Great job!
