🌟 Who are your Product Hunt lighthouses?
In every community, we naturally find people we love to communicate with, interact with, or simply follow.
From my very first day on Product Hunt, some people became little lighthouses for me here.
The moment I signed up, I noticed @busmark_w_nika and her threads. She became one of those people I always enjoy following here.
Then came @amraniyasser and @bengeekly .
And that was only my first day =D
I always enjoy seeing comments from @byalexai , @rabnoor_s, @samran_elahi , @dzaitzow and @yelyzaveta_kibets under my threads. They always bring something useful or thoughtful to the conversation.
Of course, I also love waiting to see the products hunted by our beloved hunter @zaczuo <3
I have a special sense of respect for top hunters @rohanrecommends and @chrismessina !
A newer member I recently discovered and find particularly inspiring is @hisashispace - someone with real background and experience behind their words.
And I can't forget @jesv , who was the only person upvoting my early threads =D
Since then, I've noticed how quietly and consistently he supports so many community members through their launches and threads.

I can totally relate to this! My very first interaction on Product Hunt actually started with Nika and her thoughtful responses, and eventually I discovered your threads too, Adana. I really enjoy the conversations you start here, they always give the community something interesting to think about.
And many of the people you’ve mentioned are people I’ve been following as well. Their threads and contributions are genuinely commendable, and it’s great to see how supportive and engaging this community can be.
Really glad to be part of this community and discover more of these “lighthouses” along the way!

thank you, that is a generous thing to do in public and i did not expect to be on the list.
what i would say back is about the threads rather than the compliment. most questions in this forum are asked by someone who already has their answer, and you can feel it while you read, so the replies come out as agreement. yours are not like that. in the pricing thread today you wrote that the question still remains. in the designer thread you argued back at me instead of saying thanks and moving on. that is the whole reason people bring something, you leave the answer genuinely open and then you stay in the room after posting.
lighthouse is the right word but it is doing more work than the metaphor suggests. a lighthouse marks where the rocks are. you keep asking what the rocks are made of.

@adana i will, and the reason is a bit selfish. yours are the threads where i change my mind partway through writing the answer. the pricing one did that to me an hour ago.

going first also sets the length, which i think is the bigger half of it. if the opening answer is one line, every reply is one line. if it is five specifics, people match it without being asked.
most threads that die were not asking a bad question. they just opened with a sentence that made a nod look like a complete answer.making the chain visible is the part almost everyone skips. most of the people who helped me early never found out that it worked.
