I'm Joe, the founder of Clarity: Caffeine and Focus, and I'm genuinely excited to be back.

We finished 3rd on Product Hunt last time, and since then I've been heads-down rebuilding the core experience based on what users actually needed.

What Clarity does:

Most people caffeinate by habit. Same time every day, regardless of how they slept, what they're doing, or when they need to perform. Clarity gives you a personalised caffeine strategy, exact timing for focus windows, workouts, and social energy, with a hard cutoff that protects your sleep.

For over a week, the wider Product Hunt community has been chiming in with their two cents in the discussion about where to draw the line between which product features should be free and which should require payment.

Just yesterday on X, a post started trending about a tool with 35,000+ users, but only just over 1,300 paying customers. The founder was asking the community for advice on how to increase conversions.

We're enhancing Rankfender's Content Generation Engine (RCGE) and v2.2 is coming in the next few weeks. Before we lock things in, we want to know what actually matters to people who use content generation tools.

Here's what RCGE already does:

• Intelligence. It analyzes the top 10 ranking articles for any keyword and identifies patterns. What structure do they use? What headers? What formatting? What makes them get cited by AI? Then it builds a brief based on what actually works, not guesswork.

• Structure control. You can add, remove, and reorganize H2s before generation. No fixed templates. You decide the flow.

• Inline images. Generated articles include images, not just text walls.

• Regeneration. Mess up one paragraph? Regenerate just that part. Not the whole article.

Breathing sounds

The breathing pause now plays ambient audio synced to each phase of the cycle (inhale, hold, exhale). Two tracks: a singing bowl that shifts harmonics with each phase, and procedurally-generated pink noise shaped like rainfall. You can mute or switch mid-session; your preference is saved.

I've been building my app for 8 months now, and i ended up having 5 repositories

• nextjs app

• databases

• customer facing API

• node-sdk that wraps the api

• react-sdk, for both reusing shared component and customer facing components

So i thought, it's gonna be great if i create a mono repo with submodules. But it was terrible. I realized that turborepo does not like external packages, and as i tried to reuse my own customer facing libs, the DX became terrible. It was very time consuming to ship a feature. Even when i wanted to use Codex or Cursor 3, it was not able to show git diff properly, also i was not able to use Cursor's cloud agents properly to ship complex features.

Every time I built a dashboard for one client, I had to rebuild it for the next. Creating clients, reports, dashboards, data sources felt like clicking through ten different pages just to do one simple thing

So we made some changes

I'll start.

I believed that "keyword density" mattered. I spent hours making sure our target keyword appeared exactly 3-4 times per 500 words. I used tools that highlighted which words were "under-optimized." I even re-wrote paragraphs to squeeze in one more mention.

Turns out that hasn't been a real ranking factor for over a decade. Google's RankBrain (2015) and BERT (2019) made keyword density obsolete. These models understand context, synonyms, and user intent. They don't need you to say "best CRM for small business" five times. They know that "top CRM for startups" means the same thing.

What actually matters is topic coverage. Does your page answer the question completely? Do you cover related subtopics that a user would expect to see? Do you use natural language that matches how people actually ask questions?

OpenCut-AI just shipped real GPU support for TurboQuant KV cache compression.
OpenCut-AI is an open-source, local-first AI video editor. Everything runs on your machine transcription, voice cloning, image generation, LLM commands. No cloud, no API keys.
The catch was always memory. Running a 7B LLM + Whisper + TTS + Stable Diffusion locally means fighting for every gigabyte of RAM. TurboQuant solves this by compressing the KV cache (the biggest memory hog during inference) by up to 7.3 .
What's new in this release:
User-selectable Compute Mode in Settings AI Optimization. Pick Auto, CPU, or GPU (CUDA).
Real integration with the turboquant-gpu library. The GPU backend runs cuTile fused kernels for the full 2-bit / 3-bit KV compression path. The CPU backend uses a PyTorch fallback with physical-core thread pinning and MKLDNN acceleration.
Live-measured compression ratios in the UI. No more static lookup tables you see the actual compression your backend produced on the last request.
Graceful fallback everywhere. Missing CUDA? Falls back to CPU. Missing cuTile kernels? Falls back to PyTorch. The service always comes up.

Vibe Score overhaul We completely rebuilt how developer scores work. Every verified GitHub user now starts with a baseline score of 10. Project endorsements actually count now (+5 per endorsement). And we added a weekly quality rescoring cron that re-analyzes your GitHub repos automatically so if your project gains stars, contributors, or commits, your score goes up without you doing anything. Projects also auto-verify on upload when your GitHub username matches the repo owner. No more manual "verify" clicks.

After launching Telea here, I received a lot of valuable feedback from the community. One recurring point was the need to try the product in a real workflow before committing.

Based on that, I ve just introduced a free trial.

Anthropic just shipped Opus 4.7 today and i had to write about it somewhere because the jump is weird.

I ran the same backlog task on 4.6 and 4.7 back to back. same repo, same prompt, same tools. 4.6 looped on a bug for 25 minutes and was not going to solve it. 4.7 closed it in eleven, and the part that freaked me out is that it paused in the middle to sanity-check an assumption i had not asked it to check. literally wrote "before i write this migration, let me verify the actual shape of the response object, because my assumption here might be wrong" and then went and verified it. unprompted.

That self-verification behavior is the thing. Vercel is reporting it does proofs on systems code before starting work. Hex says it flags missing data instead of making up plausible-but-wrong fallbacks. Genspark measured loop rates on hard queries and 4.7 basically stopped looping. different teams, different harnesses, same pattern.
